Spring 2009 Group Starts

The Spring 2009 group of Critical Care Interns (CCI's) started this past Monday, a total of 17 RN's. On their first day here they attended Hospital Orientation, learning U of U employee specifics. The rest of the week they attended Critical Care Orientation where they learned ICU specific skills. Last week they attended Clinical Orientation. There they learn how to use our new electronic charting system called Powerchart, as well as hospital policies, procedures and the clinical resources that are available here at the U. This week they are off to the units to start their clinical rotations. They are doing great!!!

Internship program is one of the most important events in the life of a graduating student. With this activity, students are being prepared and trained for the work they are suitable with; they are also given a chance to apply what they have learned from their years of studying bachelor courses.
